Solid and Practical Skills – C.S.P.
The County School Inspectorate of Alba (Project Beneficiary and Partnership Leader) in collaboration with Ipazia Production S.R.L. (Partner 1), the Technical Institute ‘Apulum’ of Alba Iulia (Partner 2) and the High School ‘I.D. Lăzărescu’ of Cugir (Partner 3), from the 1st of November 2024 implements the project ‘Practical and Solid Skills – C.S.P.’, SMIS Code 311279, based on the financing contract of G202467378_OIPEO/21.10.2024, concluded with the Ministry of Investment and European Projects (MIPE) as the Managing Authority of the Education and Employment Program.
The project is co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF+) through the ‘Education and Employment Programme 2021-2027’ (P.E.O.), Priority Axis: P8 ‘Increasing the accessibility, attractiveness and quality of vocational and technical education’, Project Specific Objective: ESO4. 5 ‘Improving the quality, inclusiveness, effectiveness and labour market relevance of education and training, including through the validation of non-formal learning to support the acquisition of key competences, including entrepreneurship and digital technologies, as well as promoting the introduction of apprenticeship systems (ESF+)’.
The general objective of the project is to increase by 251 the number of vocational and technical education students participating in on-site learning programmes, providing relevant skills, which facilitate employment with decent work, in line with Goal no. 4 of the ‘National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Romania 2030’.
SO1: To increase the competences (in the qualification areas in the economic sectors with sustainable development potential, according to the “National Strategy for the Sustainable Development of Romania in 2030”) of 251 vocational and technical education pupils in Alba Iulia county (in the “Central Region” of Romania).
SO2: To increase the level of professional certification for 226 pupils and the actual relevance of the certifications of their qualifications for the labor market.
SO3: Signature of 17 partnerships/conventions between the Technical Institute ‘Apulum’, the Scientific Lyceum ‘Ion D. Lazarescu’ and the practice partners/ local companies in the fields in which the students of the target group of the school are specialized (mechanical, economic, industrial – such as chemistry, leather, textile, ceramics – and technical-industrial sector) in order to create sustainable partnerships, to facilitate the transition “from training to effective work”.
SO4: Development of an online app to facilitate the transition from school to the labor market, an application that will be created and managed by the County Inspectorate and the student managers of the technical education units involved in Alba Iulia County.
The total value of the project is RON 2,462,875.86 and is implemented from 01.11.2024 to 31.10.2026. Ipazia Production has also successfully planned and held online internships for students, especially in the area of ‘Technicians in Economic Activities’ classes (internships scheduled from February to June 2025 for the first year of implementation). In the second year of the project, new internships are planned in the fields of economics, accounting and marketing, so that at least 26 students from the project partner schools can be trained in the best possible way.
